THOMAS — A dispute over cleaning fish in a kitchen sink ended with a St. Thomas man facing domestic violence-related assault charges after police say a female housemate was stabbed during the confrontation and treated at the hospital for a wound that came close to puncturing her lung. The incident unfolded Monday afternoon at a Bovoni residence, where officers found the injured woman receiving medical attention and later arrested Alvan Henry Anthony. He appeared in court Tuesday, where probable cause was found to uphold the charges, bail conditions were set, and his next hearing was scheduled for May 15. Police were called to the Bovoni home Monday afternoon to investigate reports of a stabbing. When officers arrived, they encountered a woman sitting on the porch with a folding knife hanging from her clothing near a laceration to her upper right torso.
