The Elite 340 Easter Volleyball Tournament is returning to St. Croix this Easter weekend, with organizers positioning the four-day event as both a high-level competition and a broader investment in youth development and community involvement across the U.S. Virgin Islands.

Elite 340 Club Inc., a St. Croix-based registered 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization, announced that the tournament will take place April 2 through 5, 2026, in the U.S. Virgin Islands. According to the release, the event will bring together youth and community teams from across the region for four days of athletic competition, leadership development and community celebration.

The organization said its work is rooted in cultivating teamwork, optimism, motivation, improvement and confidence in young athletes throughout the territory. Through structured training, competitive events and leadership development programs, Elite 340 said it aims to equip youth to excel both on and off the court.

The tournament will feature multiple divisions spanning both youth and adult play. Those divisions include 14U boys and girls, described as a competitive youth division for athletes 14 and under; 16U boys and girls, described as a competitive youth division for athletes 16 and under; an 18U division for athletes 18 and under; and an Adult Open division for community organizations, businesses and nonprofits, with separate men’s and women’s competition.

Cash prizes will be awarded across all divisions. In the Adult Open division, the men’s side will carry a $500 first-place prize, while the women’s side will also award $500 to its first-place champion. That gives the Adult Open division a combined $1,000 prize pool.

Organizers said the Adult Open is intended to carry a broader purpose beyond competition. Winners in both the men’s and women’s divisions are encouraged to direct prize winnings toward the nonprofit or community cause they represent, an approach the organization says turns each match into a fundraiser.

The release describes the tournament as more than a sporting event, calling it a vehicle for community investment. It says the Adult Open division is designed to allow local businesses, nonprofits and organizations to compete on behalf of the causes they champion, with prize winnings intended to be directed toward those community initiatives.

At the same time, Elite 340 said the tournament is meant to serve as a meaningful platform for youth athletic development across the USVI. The organization said the event will give young athletes structured competition, coaching, and an opportunity to build confidence and character in a positive, supportive environment.

The nonprofit is also seeking sponsorship support from businesses, organizations and community partners aligned with its youth-development mission and its emphasis on island pride. According to the release, sponsorship contributions will directly support prize pools, tournament operations and ongoing athlete development programs. Sponsorship inquiries can be directed to elite340clubinc@gmail.com or 813-774-2898.

Lisa Lucien, director of marketing and community partnerships for Elite 340 Club Inc., said the tournament reflects the organization’s larger mission. “We are building more than volleyball players — we are building leaders, community pillars, and a legacy of excellence in the U.S. Virgin Islands. This tournament is our most visible expression of that mission.”

Media contact information listed in the release names Lucien as the contact person.
